Bio-Individuality
Bio-Individuality Introduction
We'll be diving much deeper into Bio-Individuality through the program, but here's a quick start to get you familiar.
Intro
After 30+ years of wellness research & experimentations and 5 years of coaching, training, and certifications, it's clear to me that we should not be eating the same foods, rocking the same workouts, or implementing the same mindset techniques. Too many health pros push their method, what works for them, or what works for the "general public." But this is a recipe for self-defeat.
Instead, we must learn, embrace, and leverage our unique Food, Focus, and Fitness Preferences, which stem from our unique biological makeup.
Let's dive in.
What is Bio-Individuality?
- Just as "no two snowflakes are identical" (living in Chicago how have I never actually tested this), each of us is uniquely designed.
- And not just in the Enneagram way like you learned yesterday (eg, Perfectionist vs Peacemaker)
- Bio-Individuality refers to the concept that each person has their own specific nutritional, physical, and mental needs and preferences.
- It's like a personal health fingerprint. Nobody else has yours, no matter how much they might want it!
The Significance and Validity of Bio-Individuality
- There's this age-old saying, "One man's food is another man's poison." And it's not just Grandma's sassy wisdom; there's science behind it.
- Our genetic makeup, environment, and life experiences play a crucial role in how we react to food, exercise, and stress.
- By understanding and embracing our Bio-Individuality, we're not just hopping on the latest wellness bandwagon; we're tuning into a channel of health wisdom that's been around since humans started debating the merits of paleo versus vegan. (Spoiler: both can be right, depending on who you are!)
How to Leverage Bio-Individuality for Improved Health
- Imagine tailoring your health choices to fit like that favorite pair of jeans - the ones that make you feel like a rock star.
- By acknowledging and acting on your Bio-Individuality, you're designing a custom-made health plan, stitched just for you. It's like having a tailor for your health, minus the awkward measurements.
- The result? More energy, better mood, and finally answering the critical question, "Why can my husband eat pizza with zero repercussions but I'm over here bloated, cranky, and resisting a third slice?"
Your Triple Assignment:
- In your dedicated TripleFit notebook or journal, draw a line down the middle of the page to make 2 columns. Label Column 1 "Hold Onto" and Label Column 2 "Let Go Of."
- In Column 1, list the Food Types, Fitness Types, and and Focus Types (mindset tricks) you've tried that work for you. In Column 2. list the Food, Fitness, and Focus methods that DON'T work for you.
- Take a picture of this list and email it to me at [email protected]
You'll be creating your own Bio-Individuality Plan in the TripleFit program. But in the meantime, remember: your unique blueprint isn't just about celebrating what makes you different; it's about leveraging it to make empowered, goal-aligned choices.
So let's ditch the one-size-fits-all approach and tailor-make our paths to radiant health. Ready to embrace your inner snowflake? Let's Keep Going!
